Given: x/(x + y) = 3/8

Since angles on a line add to 180 degrees, we know that x + y = 180
So we can take the given equation, x/(x + y) = 3/8, and substitute 180 for x + y to get: x/180 = 3/8
Cross multiply: 8x = 540
Solve: x = 540/8 = 67.5

Answer: B
