Hi,
For my Tuck application, I have chosen my manager as a recommender. However he has resigned and is on a notice period. This means he cannot send mails to a non-company id. So I would have to provide his personal id. Unfortunately, the application form does not have a field to explain this.
I have 2 questions.
1. Please tell me what i should be doing. Should i mention this in the optional essay? (i already have some shortcoming answered in it, so this would be like a complete off topic para there)
2. Tuck says personal ids will be subject to additional review. Will it negatively impact me in some way?

Thanks

Explain in the optional essay, keeping it short and to point. Your optional essay can include more than one issue. cheers, Alex

Sounds like you've got the right person to write your recommendation and him leaving is out of your hands. I don't think it should negatively impact your application. You won't be the first person in this predicament, that's why Tuck allows it, but just notes that it will require additional vetting, which makes sense. I think it would make a lot of sense to explain this in an optional essay.
