Hi All,
I availed of this forum a lot last year while preparing for the GMAT. I attribute my respectable GMAT score almost entirely to this forum and its members. I applied to only two only schools last year since those were the only schools whose Round 1 deadlines I could meet. At the time, for some odd reason, I was super-obsessed about only applying in
Round 1. Needless to say, both of them were top 10 schools and I got gracefully rejected by both of them.
I know I am definitely planning to reapply to one of them. I am still somewhat unsure about the second one. I know there are a lot of resources on the web that talk about reapplication strategies. While they are helpful, I find them a tad bit generic. I have learned a lot more from others' blunders (especially while preparing for the GMAT) than I have from generic advice.
I was wondering if any of you here made successful RE-APPLICATIONS. If so, what were some of the major blunders you fixed in your application that made you a significantly stronger applicant the second or third time. Please provide specific examples of the following (if applicable):
- Revised approaches to essays
- Fixes to your resume
- Support availed of from professional MBA application services
- Anything else that you think played a significant role in the re-application.
Any input will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Pranav
