The trap (sort of) is in stmt 1.
In a hurry, one can conclude the lcm(x, 3) = 6. So x is 6.
Watch out for this and avoid.
The LCM (x,3) = 6 => x can be 6 itself OR a number coprime to 3 such that their product is 6 => 2.

can be 6 if and only if y=2 or y=6, this has got no relationship with the value of the numerator X.
Hence the answer is E as we have no idea whether y is 2 or 6 (the value of X/y will still be not known even if we are given the value of X}
