From (1) Distance for whole trip and time for whole trip is given. So average speed for whole trip can be calculated.
Average Speed = 90/2 = 45 miles per hour. Hence the information is Sufficient.
From (2) We are given the time taken to travel the first 40 miles only. so we cannot compute the average speed for whole trip.
