Did you do the self study, virtual, or in class? I was looking at this program, but they do not have classes in my area.

I did the 9 week course. I would imagine the virtual to be pretty good too. My study plan was simple... go to class and do all of the homework. I took one practice test before I started the class, I took the second about half way through and then I took the rest after I finished the course. It really comes down to practice, practice, practice... but here a couple of things that were huge for me..

Sentence Correction

Definitely get the MGMAT SC book. Read it more than once and then begin to thoroughly attack the SC questions. Our instructor told us every week, "If you wanna do well on the GMAT, do well on the Verbal. If you wanna do well on the Verbal, don't f__ up the Sentence Correction" This is so true. SC was my weakest area, but I worked worked and worked at it until they became second nature. By the time I took the exam I was able to break them down, attack vertically, carefully examine pronouns and modifiers, etc... By attacking vertically, I mean not horizontally reading each choice in its entirety, but rather go down vertically and look at each area of difference... two or three choices can be immediately eliminated within seconds.. BE PRECISE, AND ATTACK sentence correction

RC and CR

Not much I can say about these two sections. Just practice. Some people have techniques with outlining, diagramming, and taking notes. I personally didn't find this to be helpful. I took the entire Verbal section without taking one note and scored 97th percentile in the section.

Quant

My Q score wasn't the greatest but I did make consistent improvements throughout the course of my studies. The best advice I can give on the Quant is to move on if you know your probably not gonna get it... It is really OK to miss a few. Another quote from my instructor... "Invest time in winners" So true... there are gonna be a few that you will definitely be able to do, but you'll just need an extra 15 to 30 seconds... by skipping over three or four losers, you'll have this time. In the beginning I would try to invest almost two minutes in the ones that I was clueless on... I would stare at them and wait for it to click only to end up guessing and move on. Eventually I became good at recognizing these and just guessing right away ... this way I would pick up extra time for those that I can do but require an extra few seconds. It is OKAY, you are gonna miss a bunch of Quant questions! Just make sure you have time for the ones you can do.

Test Day

I don't care what anyone says.. The GMATPrep practice tests are pretty damn close to the real thing. If you don't get a similar score, then it was because of nerves. We are only human and some of us handle pressure better than others, but I think my method of practice testing helped. I knew that the test would be taken in some strange, unknown testing tester... so I took practice tests under similar conditions. I live in Los Angeles, so it was easy for me. But I took all of my practice tests at random internet cafes. Some were quiet, lame, and cold. Some were loud... I even took one on Sunset with a few Tranny's sitting next to me. Maybe it was just in my head, but this helped to relax me somehow.... I think if I had taken every test in the comfort of my home or office... then I would have been a bit rattled by suddenly being somewhere so foreign.

Good Luck to all and don't worry too much ... at least you are young and you have ur health!

Thanks for the reply. You mention the MGMAT SC book. Is that the Manhattan SC book?
