Hello,
I gave my GMAT today and Got a score 560 ( Q 44, V 24 ) ( 63 percentile and 34 percentile)
I put in lot of effort and time for preparation
I considered verbal to be my strength 4 years ago when i gave CAT ( conducted by IIMs) I got a 96 % in verbal without much preparation now only 34 percentile in GMAT
I had taken many mock tests and every time got above 600 and few times above 650. I was looking for score above 650 and minimum above 600,this is disaster.
I could not complete the maths sections, last question unanswered even though i managed time well and on 36 question i had 4 mins and took 3 mins to answers it and on 37 question i could not answer in 1 min and time was up.
I was worried above the penalty and it physiologically affected my verbal performance , i was worried i may end u doing same for verbal and started answering quickly and finished the exam nearly 15 mins to go. and got a disappointing score. I was bombarded with SC questions is getting lot of SC questions an indicator your exam is not going well
My Mock scores
Veritas Prep - 620 ( q 43, v 33 )
GMAT Prep 1 - 610 ( q 44. v 29 )
Manhattan GMAT Free test - 650 ( q 45, v 35 ) ( Without essay and IR )
Manhattan GMAT 2 - 610 - ( q 44, v 31 )
Manhattan GMAT 3 - 620 - ( q 38, v 36 )
Manhattan GMAT 4 - 600 - ( q 43, v 31 )
Manhattan GMAT 5 - 660 - ( q 42, v 38 )
GMAT Prep ( 2 days before) - 640 ( q 43, v 35 )
Will this score be of any use ??
More i think about this, more i lose interest in retaking GMAT, very skeptical about doing well again in GMAT,now my confidence is very low for GMAT
Please help me, how can i handle this situation and best retaking approaches
Kind regards
Ganesh
