50 score progress: 610 to 660

by druxus » Tue Oct 20, 2009 1:22 am
I have retaken GMAT a couple of days before with a much nicer result - 660 (42q, 40v). Last time I had 35 on quant and the same on verbal.
The math was difficult, really easy were only first 8 or 10 question then the difficulty progressed rapidly, so in the end I faced some mind-shattering problems with octagons and 3 sets and I was running out of time. So I think I clicked the last 5.
Verbal was OK nothing new for me and I got the same 40 score :D
Don't think That I will retake gmat in short term, possibly in December for Round 2.

wow nice improvement.

I am pretty sure that you will break 700 line.

By the way, i think you really know what you doing and if you keep doing what youve been doing, you will have no problem getting the score you want.

Good luck and, as always, work hard!

thanks for support
when I got 610 at fisrt, I thought that something was wrong with me. I had been preparing for 5 month and got such a low score. But when I got 660 I became reassured that 700+ is not impossible

Congrats Druxus!
I'm planning to give my next attempt sometime in Jan/Feb (have to juggle with a couple of personal things so can't attempt any sooner). In the meanwhile I've redone OG11 and bought the New Quant Review book. This time round making a fraction of the mistakes I did before! Haven't started any of the mocktests as yet. Was wondering if you have any pointers on what you did different this time round prep-wise ? Did you refer to Manhattan for the Quants ?
Waiting to hear from you next when you cross that 700 line :-)
