    GMAC PRACTICE TEST

    Is XY + XZ = 0?

    (1) X = 0

    (2) Y+Z = 0

    We can rephrase the question as X(Y+Z)=0---->X=0 or Y+Z=0?
    So if we can find out either of the above or both or none then we can answer this question.
    Because if either of them is true then our answer will be YES
    or if both of them are true then our answer will be YES
    or if neither of them is true then our answer will be No

    St1) X=0---> sufficient
    St2) Y+Z=0---> suficient

    Hence IMO D
