International student. Undergrad: Engineering + GPA 3.7 from a decent university in the US. 3 years work experience in management consulting.

I screwed up on the GMAT, I might re-take it but assuming I don't get a better score, can you please advice to which schools I can apply??

Please just a list of school where I have a chance with my profile.

Thanks!

That's difficult to say with the limited information you gave. A 650 is below the average of most top schools, but does fall within the middle 80% of some.

For example, of the enrolled students at Kellogg 24% had a gmat between 650 and 690. What I am getting at is the GMAT isn't everything. Admissions departments take a holistic approach to evaluate applications.

What about extracurricular activities?
How has your career progress been in mgmt consulting?
What are your plans post MBA?

Thanks for the reply! I joined as analyst, and was promoted twice so far, once every year. The regular process for people my level. I worked on a variety of industries, and held a lot of responsabilities, directly managing some client counterparts. I worked in three different countries.

In terms of extracurrciular, prior to work, I was president and fouder of a student group, and lead a number of other student groups.

Now, I volunteer at a hospital on weekends and I've worked on a number of pro bono consulting project (on top of my regular client work).

But I have to be realistic, most people who apply have great profiles, and I do need a high GMAT score to even be considered for those top schools. I will apply nonetheless, but would like to keep some safe options for in case I don't get into top schools.

For my career progress, I need an MBA next year and in case I can't boost my GMAT score in time, I will want to have a few other options. Any suggestions on schools where I would be likely accepted?

Thanks again for offering your help and advice.
