    When Air France and British Airways suspended Concorde travel after one of the sleek jetliners crashed near Paris in July 2000, they grounded not only their fleets but a caste of business bigwigs accustomed to crossing the Atlantic in luxury.

    A) they grounded not only their fleets but a caste of business bigwigs accustomed to crossing the Atlantic in luxury.

    B) a caste of business bigwigs accustomed to crossing the Atlantic in luxury were stranded as well as the fleets.

    C) a caste of business bigwigs were stranded and they were normally accustomed to crossing the Atlantic in luxury in the fleets which were grounded too.

    Missing "also" in A is an error, but all of the others are worse. Where is this from? E makes no sense in the context of the sentence.
