What is the value of 120(6)x?

(1) 2x^2 + 18 = −12x
(2) x < 0

The OA is the option A.

I don't understand how to solve this DS question. Experts, may you give me some help, please? Thanks in advanced.

I think 120(6)x is in fact 120*6^x. If yes, then we have to get the value of x. Once we get the value of we get the value of 120*6^x.

Question rephrased: What's the value of x?

(1) 2x^2 + 18 = −12x

Diving both the sides by 2, we get x^2 + 9 = −6x => x^2 + 6x + 9 = 0 => (x + 3)^2 = 0 => x = -3. We get the unique value of x. Sufficient.

(2) x < 0

Can't get the value of x. Insufficient.

The correct answer: A

Hope this helps!
