Hi Experts,

What would be best or proven time management strategy for GMAT Test ?
Please help me to come up with strategy like how to split up the exam duration among the different section ?

Your help is appreciated.

Regards,
Kalyan.

Well, you have 30 minutes for each essay, 75 minutes for quant, and 75 minutes for verbal; there's not a whole lot you can do about that. It would definitely add a new element of strategy to the game if you could "bank" time to use on another section, but alas, that's not how it works.

Generally speaking, you want to spend about two minutes on each question. You should virtually never spend over three minutes on any question. Make sure you finish each section (don't leave anything blank), and don't get fixated on one question at the expense of all the others. It's better to guess at that one question so that you save the time for questions you know how to do.

Pacing is a very personal thing and there isn't really a one-size-fits-all strategy. Basically, you just need to take a lot of practice tests to determine what pacing strategy works for you.
