Hi swerve,

We're told that 25 percent of P is equal to 10 percent of Q, and (P)(Q) is not equal to 0. We're asked P is what percent of Q. This question can be solved in a couple of different ways, including by TESTing VALUES.

IF...
P = 4, then (25% of P) = 1
1 = (10% of Q), so Q = 10

When P = 4 and Q = 10, P is 4/10 = 40% of Q

Final Answer: E

We can create the equation;

0.25p = 0.1q

25p = 10q

p/q = 10/25 = 2/5 = 40%.
