ASKING TO STANFORD GSB STUDENT

by kmw1015 » Tue May 11, 2010 11:06 am
My name is Min.

I am currently 3rd year at University of California San Diego.

I am majoring in Economics.

I am planning to go go MBA right after college. My goal is to go to Stanford GSB School.

Is it possible to go right after college?

During Summer, I am planning to visit Stanford MBA school to find out more about school and how it works.

When is the best time to visit and when i visit, how can i get most information? How can i make an appointment with admission?

I would appreciate if I can get a lot of information of it.

Thank you.

Hey Min,

Thanks for your question. You may want to pose this to the 'Ask a Stanford Student' thread here (will notify our Stanford reps): https://www.beatthegmat.com/ask-a-stanfo ... 48308.html

I attended Stanford as an undergrad, and I know for a fact that the GSB does accept some students directly out of college. Usually, these exceptional undergrad applicants have a good track record of leadership during their college years which helped them gain placement.

I personally believe that the best time to visit is during the school year, when class is still in session and you can get a good sense of what the GSB ecosystem is like. If you can make it happen, try to come before the end of this month while there are still classes. It's very easy though to set up time with the admissions office to schedule a visit--just check out the GSB website for more info.

Good luck!
