1st sentence:
You need the possessive pronoun “whose” referring to the depiction of scenes of life and death so A, B, and D are out. Between C and E I would chose C since “in the fact that” is redundant here.

2nd sentence
This is a little tricky. I believe the past tense “have not met” is incorrect since this is an ongoing action, so C, D and E are out. Between A and B I go with B for the word placement in the sentence

in the first sentence, isn't whose referring to world since pronouns refer to the word or subject directly behind it? Thats why I would chose A because none of the other pronouns in C D or E refer to scenes and B just sounds weird with " in fact..."
