x-.03x=24500 hence sufficient
2) sales booked x = 1.25*22500
therefore is sufficient to answer the question...! hence D

I am a little confused in s(2)
If a salesman received a commission of 3% of the sales that he has booked in a month, what was the sales booked by the salesman in the month of November 2003?
1. The sales booked by the salesman in the month of November 2003 minus salesman's commission was $245,000
2. The selling price of the sales booked by the salesman in the month of November 2003 were 125 percent of the original purchase price of $225,000.
OA is D
To find:- sales booked in the month of November 2003.
S(2) : selling price of the sales in the month of November 2003 were 125% of the cost price.
S(2) talks about the selling price, nowhere i can see it's relationship with sales in the month of November.
Moreover, S(1) and S(2) are contradicting one another
S(1):- x- .03x = 245000 = 252577.319
S(2):- x = 1.25*225000 = 281250
Please clarify. From my stand point OA should be A
Thanks
