Answer Please and why?
I choose E

A - deaths are not approved by the board of directors !
B - along with deaths is incorrectly tied to the main sentence
C - which is incorrect, that is preferred. uses passive voice
D - board of directors approved obituaries? incorrect usage

E looks less faulty of the lot

OPtion A.
It is ideologically wrong to say death is approved by someone. The board of directors cannot approve death.
Thus, the option is incorrect.

Option B.
This option is similar to option A but it is just the arrangement that differentiates it, the 'along with death' is together with the main sentence and is part of what the /'Borad of directors' wants to deliberate about.
This option is incorrect.

Option c.
Same as option A deaths cannot be approved by Board of directors'
This option suffers same fate as option A and it is wrong

Option D,
'Meeting in May'? this looks like an awkward intro to a sentence clause. The use of Obituaries is nice and rather prefer over 'deaths' as being used by previous option. It is important to know that; Obituaries are brief notice of a persons' death as published in a newspaper.
This this can be reported in the July 15 company's paper.
Nevertheless, this option is wrong.

Option E. This is the correct answer. The use of obituaries' instead of 'deaths' gave it an edge over other options and the perfect introduction to the sentence is far better than option D above.
