T=5/9*(K - 32) , T=290
--> 290 = 5/9*(K - 32) --> 290 x5/9 = K-32 --> 522 = k-32 --> k = 554
Ans D ....its very simple..hope u understand..

please post ur solution ...I would rectify it...

Well you got it wrong =) Not "290 x5/9" but "290/(5/9)"
I see what I did wrong here. I got K-32=522 instead of K=522+32 I did K=522-32. As always just need to pay attention to details.

Thanks,

We start by substituting 290 for T and we obtain:

290 = 5/9(K - 32)

To eliminate the fraction, we multiply the entire equation by 9 and we have:

290 x 9 = 5(K - 32)

We next divide both sides by 5 and then solve for K:

58 x 9 = K - 32

522 = K - 32

554 = K

Answer: D
