Hello Dears, I scored 99 on TOEFL IBT (R-28, L-26, S-20, W-25), but I need 100. I want to rescore my speaking section. Do you think rescoring can work and they can increase my score 1 or 2 points?

If you are confident enough, go for re scoring.

What do you mean by re-scoring?, I assume you are refering to re-taking the test?

Re scoring means telling IELTS to get that section checked again by a different examiner. The fees for re scoring is almost equal to the fees for booking an IELTS date. If the score increases, you get full refund, else no refund.

Re taking means giving another attempt at IELTS.

Hope it helps :)

Thanks for the clarificaiton,

Yes, now I understand. Nevertheless, what are the odds that a rescore will give you a different score?...I guess, any difference will be negligible. I am just wondering how many people are using this option in increasing their score in a positive way...

Cheers.

If you think you would have scored more than this score, then odds are obviously good.

No idea about how many people use this method to increase score.
