What books to use?

by joegmat » Mon Dec 22, 2008 3:40 am
I am living in Beijing and will be taking the test out here with little resources.

I currently have the following books a friend gave me after she took the GMAT last year:

Barron's GMAT 2007-2008
Kaplan GMAT Premier Program 2008 Edition
The Official Guide For GMAT Review, 11th Edition

I have one shot to go back to the US in two weeks. What essential books am I missing? Should I buy updated versions of any of the ones I already have?

In my opinion, if you use them correctly, you only need four books:

1. the big orange Official Guide
2. the OG verbal supplement book
3. The OG quant supplement book
4. a prep guide from a reputable company

It sounds like you already have the orange OG and the prep guide, so I'd just recommend getting the other two OG supplements.

Good luck!
