Hi ildude02,

I believe you've found the solution already. If still not, look at it here:

Thanks, ed09. I kinda followed your logic, but still not 100% sure. Is there any other way to solve this besides the logic you used? I never came across the average concept you stated before. May be I need to get used to it .

Hey ildude02,

I'm positive you "need to get used to it" . :)
I think the concept is much simplier than it sounds. I just added some clarifications to it. Find them at the same link, if you're interested.

Best!

check whether my soln is proper

we need to find (D/M+D)

D- directors
M- managers
E = M + D
ES = MS + DS - sales

from 1 - MS/M = ES/E -5000

nothing about ES , MS so not sufficient

from 2 - DS/D = ES/E + 15000

nothing about DS ,ES so not sufficient

from 1-2

MS = M * ES /E - M *5000
DS = D * ES/E + D *15000

MS + DS = M*ES/E + D * ES /e + D*15000 - M *5000

ES=ES*(M + D)/E + D * 15000 - M * 5000
ES = ES * (E)/(E) + D * 15000 - M * 5000
hence D * 15000 - M *5000 = 0

D * 150000= M *5000

we get M in terms of D which we can put in D/M+D

So C is the ans
