I recently took the GMAT for a third time and received a disappointing 580. This is the same score I received the previous testing. I have decided that I will still apply to schools for the second round. I feel that I have a pretty solid application other than the obviously low GMAT score. (Good work experience with military, Electrical Engineering Degree from Naval Academy) Don't ask me why I cannot seem to do well on this test...

Question: I received a score of 580 twice with varying verbal and quant scores. Which score should I put onto applications:

GMAT Score: 580, 30V / 40Q

or

GMAT Score: 580, 35V / 35Q

I appreciate any advice, thanks!

OH! Killer man! Sometimes the GMAT is just a stumper. If you are going to apply with this score, then go with the more balanced one. Usually balanced looks better.

Hi divemanjay,

You would have to report all your scores. It's unfortunate that you not able to crack the gmat. We guess you are not even looking to reapply. In this case make sure you represent other aspects of your profile well academics, beyond and work experience.

Which score did you end up using? I might've thought the better quant score would be a better bet.
