Hey all.
Just got back from my GMAT and I'm very disappointed.
My scores:
Scaled %
Q 34 43
V 41 93
Overall, a 620.
I'm not too disappointed in my overall score, since the school I want to go to has an average of 610 (I am going for Sports Management, not MBA). However, I am disappointed in that on a Kaplan test I scored Q36, V43, which resulted in a 660. I've heard so much about Kaplan being SO hard so I figured I was a lock for at least a 650 on the real test.
In all honesty though, I crammed and overall just did not study enough. I studied over the past 5 days for about 15 hours total. I also took a 10 hour GMAT course in November.
The good thing though is that I think I will be able to improve my Q score significantly if I really buckle down and focus on that.
Beat half of the GMAT?

You have a great Potential buddy.
as you confessed that you did not study enough, i have nothing to say.
Indeed with such Kaplan 1:660 you could have crossed 700 easily.
But sometimes its not the case if you work with Kaplan material.
I mean, which material you used? If its Kaplan, then its quite likely that you would do good in those tests.
What your title suggests?
do you still want to take the test? or you are OK with it since you have already reached to your target school ave score....
Thanks for letting us know.

A 620 is definitely an impressive score, especially given the amount of time you devoted to preparing!
It sounds like you are planning to retake the exam?
Best of luck!

I got my official score report back. I received a 6 on the analytical writing segment!
So I guess I do need to really focus on the Quantitative part of the exam
