Hi All - First post here!

I am a native English guy who does not speak any other languages. Is this going to really hold back my applications?

I understand that INSEAD requires a minimum of 2 languages, and most other European business schools quote an average of 3 within the class.

Any info appreciated, cheers

Are you asking this question in reference only to INSEAD? Only to European programs? All MBA programs??? In general, additional languages are an advantage. INSEAD allows you to learn your second (or third) language besides English there.... or you can take a month or two in another country. But it's not an "application killer" in most cases.

Thanks, I wasn't referring to INSEAD specifically. As far as I'm aware a minimum of 2 languages is a pre-requisite for applying to INSEAD, so I cant apply anyway.

Languages are clearly gonna be advantageous, but good to know lack of them is not an app killer for top schools - this was really my question

Hi
This won't be held as a major disadvantage. As long as other aspects like the quality of your work, your academics and beyond academics are highlighted well as they will play an important role in determining your candidature
