Hi Sivaranjani,

Thank you for your post!

First off, as an Indian national with a degree from an Indian institution, you come from an oversubscribed pool of applicants. Many of your fellow country men and women with similar academic histories (if not professional experiences) are also targeting top programs, and that makes it even more difficult to truly stand out or differentiate yourself. This would make your GMAT score and GPA even more important factor in your candidacy. A 720 will be competitive at your selected programs.

That being said, you have a significant amount of leadership experience, quantifiable accomplishments and awards from your professional life. This will help you distinguish yourself among applicants from IT/Tech industries, and you should be sure to highlight your managerial experience especially in your essays.

Finally, it's important to be able to demonstrate interests and activities outside of school or work. It seems like singing will be an especially important activity for you, and you seem to have a fair number of community activities. As long as you are currently active in those activities, that will speak well for you.
