Hi,
I am an Indian IT professional with 4 years of experience.
I keep hearing about how unique profile helps in getting a candidate selected. I am not thus getting into marks as I guess they are pretty non indicative of the selection process. My application strategy is based on the following(which I think are unique qualities).

1. P/T teacher for various courses in India/Australia for about 6 years now.
2. Got a Masters degree from Australia
3. Got research and teaching assistanship
4. Member of high IQ socitey, Mensa
5. Regularly visit old age homes as part of community service
6. Some extra curricular sports in school
7. Got "contibution to business awards" in office
8. Have publication and conducted trainings
9. Have got publication on the internet for students on how to crack GRE - get regular mails from students.
10 . Single handedly started GRE, IELTS, GMAT course for 3 different institues
11. Have been manager of Indian restaurant during P/T work while in Australia.
12. Have also done letter box delivery during P/T work while in Australia.

Do you think they would, if written properly help me to uniquify myself?
Any suggestion you may have to properly advicate my case?
If all else is fine, i.e. GMAT > 750, GPA > 3.4, good recos can I aim for the top 15 colleges in the US.
Regards,
Indradeep

You have an interesting background. If you can properly package your credentials ie. write compelling essays, be well prepared for interviews, get strong LORs, then you should be able to submit a competitive application. Previous posts were not meant to discount the importance of the GMAT or GPA, they were just trying to show that applicants need more than just a stellar academic record in the current competitive environment. You seem to be on the right track.
