Q14: (Problematic, Do Not Calculate; Only Know the Method!)
How many seconds will it take for a car that is traveling at a constant rate of 45 miles per
hour to travel a distance of 22 yards? (1 mile = 1,160 yards)
A. 8
B. 9
C. 10
D. 11
E. 12
This is also a tough one. I wonder how to choose the best one promptly.

Not sure if this is right, but here's my go:
45m/h = 45000y/h = 45000/3600 y/s
45000/3600 y/s = 22/? y/s
? = 22x3600/45000
Pretty easy to reduce that into something more bite sized and you get 1.8 seconds. Not one of the choices, so maybe I messed something up... |

It should be 22*3600/45*1160
22/45 is aprox equal to 1/2
3600/1160 is aprox equal to 3
Answer should be 1.5 sec.

using 1 mile = 1100 yds simplifies a bit
(22/1100) = miles = 2/100 = 1/50
(45/3600) = miles per second = 5/400 = 1/80
(1/50) / (1/80) = 8/5 = 1.6
does not matches with any of the choices ???
