How is getting involved in an organization such as Toastmasters International viewed by admissions committees? With the importance of public speaking and presenting, would joining a local Toastmasters or even starting one at my employer be viewed favorably or be a waste of my time?

Best,

Starting will show more initiative than just joining, of course. How will your overall application address presentation skills (interview, jobs, etc.)

If you are concerned that it's a risk and/or a skill you need to develop... than it can only help.

Best of luck.

Just being part of TM wont help much. But being a leader or taking up roles in the club will definitely help.

Good luck!
