Total workers = 200 million
workers taking 1 week of vacation = 25% = 200*25/100 = 50 million
female workers are 46%, male workers = 54%
20% male workers take 1 week vacation = 200*54/100*20/100 = 21.6 million
female workers = 50-21.6 = 28.4 million

workers taking 1 week of vacation = 25% = 200*25/100 = 50 million
female workers are 46%, male workers = 54%
20% male workers take 1 week vacation = 200*54/100*20/100 = 21.6 million

=> Total # of 1-week vacationers (Male and Female) = 25% of 200 = 50M
We are given that 46% of the total workforce is female. => 100% - 46% = 54% is male
We are given that 20% of male (54%) took 1-week of vacation, thus # of males taking 1-week of vacation = (20% of 54%) of 200M = 10.8% of 200M = 28.4M

We know 25% took 1 week vacation.
Out of 25%, 20% of male workers took 1 week which is = 21.6 million
Now, out of the remaining 25%, 5% is for female workers. So, 5% of 92 = 4.6 million.

To properly answer this question, you have to make sure that you're using the proper terms. The "25%" who take 1 week of vacation is 25% of the TOTAL workers (but we do NOT know how many of that 25% are male or female).
Since 20% of MALE WORKERS took 1 week of vacation, you CAN calculate that number. It's....
(200 million)(.54)(.20) = 21.6 million
However, we are NOT given any information on the percent of WOMEN who took 1 week of vacation, so we have to subtract the totals to get that number...
25% of 200 million = 50 million took 1 week of vacation
21.6 million MALES took 1 week of vacation
50 million - 21.6 million = 28.4 million FEMALES took 1 week of vacation.
Final Answer: E
