Suggested LSAT Material - CR & RC

by crackgmat007 » Sun Aug 30, 2009 9:49 pm
I saw in several posts that LSAT material will be good practice for CR & RC. But I want some material that has explanations too. Below are the materials some of the scorers have suggested:

1. 10 Official LSAT exams (green/blue cover book)

2. LSAT Superprep book

Does any one know which book is better and has explanations? If you have looked into a different LSAT book, pls suggest. Tx.

Here are some LSAT sets. They're test released by LSAC. You've got 100 CR and 50 or so RC questions in here.

I have not reviewed any LSAT books, so I don't know which ones contain explanations. Your best bet would be to read user comments on amazon.com. IMHO, try the above questions and if you don't get an answer, post it here and we'll discuss the question.

Thanks DanaJ.

I see on the cover page of LSAT Superprep book that this book has explanations. 10 Official Tests are just test questions with answer keys.

I answered section 2 of the first test posted by DANA. I got 15 right out of 25 :( Are LSAT exams usually more difficult than GMAT ??

Usually, they are. I took a CR section and got 5/25 wrong and thought the level was well above average. I won't lie, the LSAT sets are mainly tough practice if you're already scoring well in GMAT CR and RC.

Did you finish them each in 2 minutes ? I find some questions posted on this forum to be just as challenging as those in LSAT, what do you think ?

Much appreciated .

Yes, I did finish in the allotted time. Timing has never been an issue for me in CR - I actually needed to "slow down" on the real thing to make sure it wasn't impacting my accuracy.

That's true - the forum is a great resource for tough questions. However, what you get here are documents that you can print/use offline too. Thought it would be useful to repost them.

The book I used when preparing for the LSAT about 1.5 years ago was the Powerscore Logical Reasoning Bible. It had great strategies and explanations for all the problems in the book. It's a great tool if you want to take your CR to the next level on the GMAT.
my GMAT debrief: https://www.beatthegmat.com/came-through ... 44327.html

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right, but it will not come near you.

- Psalm 91: 5-7

Hi All,

I am having soft copy of THE POWER SCORE LSAT LOGICAL REASONING BIBLE. I am not able to locate the soft copy of LSAT for RC. Can anyone provide me with the link of LSAT - RC from where I can download the book.

Many Thanks
