Studying MBA in Europe/UK.

by Abhishek Kumar » Tue Dec 09, 2014 7:16 am
I have done my B.E/B.Tech in 2013 and have a 1 year experience in technical field.I want to pursue MBA from Europe(in particular Germany) or UK from the summer batch 2015.I am thinking of taking the GMAT in January 2015 and for that I have already started preparing.I just want to know:
1)Have I got sufficient time for preparation or should I extend my test date?
2)If I take my test in January, would I have sufficient time for other admission procedures like application to colleges, recommendation letters, essays etc and visa till the summer batch?
3)Which reputed colleges/univs. should I apply to and other safe colleges?
4)What are the approximate expenses(tution fees and others+living costs)to pursue MBA from Germany?

Thank You.

Well, first of all, if you are going for an MBA, you won't have enough experience, whether its Germany, US or otherwise (although there are other Masters that don't require work experience).

For the GMAT: ONLY take it when you are 100% ready and the top of your game. Any earlier is a waste of effort. Nobody "lucks out" on a great score. But with hard work, they get there.

Hope this helps,
Best,
JF

I know that most MBA programs require a min. of 2 yrs work experience but I am aiming for the ones that don't.Can you answer my queries based on that?
Thank You.

Hi Abhishek

In that case, if you are looking at universities in the US options available would be limited. You can look at universities like Pace University, University of North Texas etc , University of Denver Daniels etc. For other countries e.g. UK/Europe you can look at schools like Liverpool John Moores, Middlesex University etc. A better alternative to the above would be Masters in Management wherein if you get a good enough score you can target reputed schools like HEC Paris, ESCP Europe, Duke University MMS program etc.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further queries and we would be happy to advice.
