STUDY PLAN NEEDED

I have been trying to study for the GMAT it has been 6 months now and it hasn't been working out.
I start studying in September and I took a Kaplan onsite course to help me.
I was very disappointed and I did not feel like the course prepared me well enough to go write the test.

I need a structured study plan. There are so many resources out there, what would be the most efficient way of studying using a pool of resources to get a score between 670-720.

I want to study with the best books which will teach me the tricks and strategies I need to do well and study efficiently. Any suggestions of a good study plan and resources?

Hi,

I am sorry to learn that you are disappointed with Kaplan GMAT course. There must be expectation gap between you and the course you opted for. For yrs. Kaplan is known for above par GMAT course. This is my personal experience too. Couple of yrs. back in India, I was GMAT instructor for Kaplan.

Well to put it straight 'Best Books', 'Best Tricks', 'Strategies' are illusion. Even at this stage I am learning something or the other via teaching/interacting with students/peers on daily basis. Its never-ending process.

I recommend that you talk to Kaplan about your high expectation score. Inform them your present score and accordingly seek their opinion on type of methodology. Even they have money back guarantee course too.

If you do not wish to join any course again, then BTG is one such platform wherein your desire to 'Challenge yourself', 'New Tricks , 'Alternative approach', 'Multiple opinion', 'High End problem' will be addressed. There are many peers, experts, on-line resources available, which will be of great help to you.

I recommend that you start posting 'GMAT course Plan query', Verbal/Quants query on daily basis and spend couple of hrs.time in BTG. I am sure you will be amazed. Do take free practice test and quote your Verbal/Quants score in forum. Experts will recommend the strategy.

I await you in GMAT MATH forum, where in a matter of 5-15 minutes, you will be replied.
