a) they had for their past seasons
b) they had had for any past seasons
c) any past season
d) their past seasons have had
e) in their past seasons

OA is C
'they had had' could that be correct? An Expert urgently needed.

Hey folks,

Key issue here: "ballet company" is singular. If we're unsure, we can look at the non-underlined portion at the end of the sentence, which refers to the company as "it". So any answer with "they" or "their, which are plural, creates an agreement error. This rules out all options except C. So while we have a comparison, parallelism isn't actually the primary issue with this problem! Always look out for discrepancies in agreement - the GMAT loves to test nouns like "company" that refer to a group of multiple people, but are singular on their own.
