Ken left a job paying $75,000 per year to accept a sales job paying $45,000 per year plus 15 percent commission. If each of his sales is for $750, what is the least number of sales he must make per year if he is not to lose money because of the change?
(A) 40
(B) 200
(C) 266
(D) 267
(E) 600

Please help in finding efficient way to find solution of this problem. D is the answer.

---------------------------

Let n=number of sales

We can write an equation as follows

--> [Fixed annual salary after transfer + Commission(15% per sales)] greater than or equal to previous annual salary

--> 45,000 + n x 750 x (15/100) (>=) 75,000

Therefore, n is greater than or equal to 266.66666.....

Since n is an integer(number of sales) n must be at least 267
