Dear molt_llest,
Visits are important for 2 reasons: 1) to give you a good idea of what it would be like to be a student there such as the school's culture, facilities, etc. and 2) to make a positive, good impression on the admissions staff. It is important that you view each person you meet as having input into your evaluation as it is possible the admissions office will ask every student, staff member and faculty member you speak to for feedback. Ideally, you should visit when class is in session and you can attend a class. The best time is usually late August/early September depending on the school. It is also good to visit on a day when they offer an information session. Be sure to schedule your visit in advance so you can maximize the time you have there.
Regards,
