Hi,

Could you please help me decide stretch/realistic/safety...

Background:
Nationality: Indian
Sex: Male
Age: 26

Undergraduate:
Top 20 US School
Major: Accounting and Finance
GPA: Cumulative - 3.71 (Magna Cum Laude)
Dean's List - All quarters

Work Experience:
Big 4 Auditing Firm (3.5 years - Present)
Senior Auditor
Duties: Standard Big 4 Senior Auditor role.
Structured Progression

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Extra Cur: Heavily involved in undergrad recruiting and cross cultural activies (lead role)

GMAT: 660 (Q 47, V 34)

1) Wharton
2) Northwestern
3) University of Chicago
4) University of California -Berkeley
5) Darthmouth
6) Columbia
7) Yale

Hello,

Based on the information you provided, I’d consider you to have many basic strengths, with the GMAT being the main weakness. Of course your goals would also be a factor, as well. I’ll make a note for each program you mention.

1) Wharton - stretch
2) Northwestern - stretch
3) University of Chicago - stretch
4) University of California -Berkeley - stretch
5) Dartmouth - stretch
6) Columbia - stretch
7) Yale - stretch
8) Virginia - stretch
9) Duke - stretch
10) NYU - stretch
11) UCLA - stretch
12) Carnegie Mellon - stretch/realistic
13) Cornell - stretch/realistic
14) U.T. Austin - realistic
15) Indiana - realistic/safety

Please note that within the large “stretch” category there are variations, so, for example, Columbia would be a big stretch, whereas Duke would be a smaller one.
