    I learned that Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe and I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda discovered Texas.


    (A) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe and I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda

    (B) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, and additionally Alonso Alvarez de Pineda

    (C) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, and I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda

    (D) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe while I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda

    (E) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, Alonso Alvarez de Pineda

    Explanation required along with the answer

    Shouldn't the question be written as follows?

    I learned that Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe and I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda discovered Texas.

    (A) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe and I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda
    (B) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, and additionally Alonso Alvarez de Pineda
    (C) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, and I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda (CORRECT ANSWER)
    (D) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe while I found out that Alonso Alvarez de Pineda
    (E) Sir Francis Drake circumnavigated the globe, Alonso Alvarez de Pineda
