Hello..

Please evaluate my profile

GMAT 690( Q50, V33, AWA 5, IR 8)

Passed out in 2008 from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India
B.Tech( Mining Engineering) - CGPA - 8.12
Was elected as Techncal convener of Technical society
Director's nominee in student activity center in my final year
Dean's nominee in Institute standing disciplinary committee in final year

Post graduation i joined NTPC Ltd. as executive engineer and through 2 promotions now working as deputy manager
Work ex till date- 6 years 9 months
worked in an underground coal mine with capacity of 1 MT per annum for a year
Then associated with development of green field coal mines of 18 MT per annum capacity in chatisgarh
job profile includes land acquisition of 21 sq kilometer, environment and forest cleance,
feasibility study and layout finalization of 60 KM long railway line from mines to plant, mine plan preparation, , ground water and channel diversion clearance etc.

On community development -- in-charge for 2 villages for community development
founder member of voluntary club for children at college level

i am plnning for 2016 mba intake for 1 year course..

My target schools are...

Hey there,

Thanks for posting! So a quick question for you - what are your thoughts on retaking that GMAT? Because, as it stands, most of those schools are going to prettttty difficult to get into. I like that you went to an NIT and that you did well, but after that, your career has been average. A couple of promotions, a couple of cornerstone projects, etc. For schools in Asia, the average GMAT for folks like you is just higher and you don't have what I'd call an "X factor" that would make them look the other way for your GMAT. And INSEAD - well, you don't have any international work experience. They're pretty big on that! If you didn't, that might have been ok, if you had that "X factor".

So...about that GMAT...is a retake in your future?
