The passage describes a study. That description poses some challenges to the theoretical economists' belief. The passage doesn't openly challenge anything !

D shows it correctly !

Answer is D !

IMO D. Although I appreciate the worthiness of choice B as it is a real tricky one and is thus typical of the GMAT.
