Topic: Purchasing from Amazon
PostFri Sep 04, 2009 3:08 pm

Hey,

I am interested in buying the Sentence Correction Guide (4th edition) but the shipping cost + delivery time is higher than what it is on Amazon UK. Is it ok if I get it from Amazon? I will still get access to the online CATs right? Or do I only get access to them if I purchase through Manhattan GMAT's website?

Hi shanrizvi,

As aakaps says, if you buy the books on Amazon or any other 3rd party retailer, you will still be able to gain access to your CAT exams and question banks. Just follow the instructions on page 7 of your guide. Keep in mind, though, that you need to make sure your book is sold new and not used. Amazon has a separate "marketplace" where users can sell their own used books. If the access code in the book has previously been used, you won't be able to get your online resources. Just make sure you don't buy a used book on Amazon's marketplace and you'll be fine.

Best,

Yes its new. Just waiting for it to arrive now. Ah!

I have some feedback though. It would have been better if I could have online access straight away. I would have purchased it straight from MGMAT's own online store if it weren't the most expensive of all options for me. $26 + shipping to Finland where on Amazon it costs much less! And I'm talking about brand new books.

Hi shanrizvi,

We are aware that ordering our books from international markets comes at a much greater price and we're doing all we can to mitigate the extra costs. Thanks for providing us with the feedback, though. We'll look into alternative shipping options and some way of automatically activating online resources from other sites like Amazon.

Best,

Michael Dinerstein
