I wish to apply to the Full-time MBA program starting in 2010.

I have taken GMAT thrice. My best score is 660.

I'm working in a start-up in Chennai - RedMagic Media Pvt Ltd (www.redmagicmedia.com) that provides web-based multimedia solutions. I was working as an Online Content Editor. About 4 months back, I assumed the role of a Project lead.

I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors in Engineering(Electronics and Communication) from SSN Engineering college, Chennai, India with an aggregate score of 80%.

My interests include blogging and movies. My blog link is www.bornalike.wordpress.com

Which are the kind of colleges to which I could apply?

Hello,

It’s difficult if not impossible to suggest programs without knowing your goals, which would be a major factor in determining what programs are appropriate.

That said, based on the information you provided I suggest that you consider programs in the range of Smith (Univ. of Maryland), Boston University, Boston College, Georgia Institute of Technology, Simon (University of Rochester).

Hi Cindy,

I want to get into product management in the online space. Typically I'm looking at roles that would require me to be involved in contributing to new product development by researching user preferences and coordinating with the development team and also in the marketing of new products.

My long term goal is to get into Brand Management and start my own creative studio to provide branding solutions.

I want to get into programs that are recognized for General Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship and also where there is scope for me to get scholarships.

Thanks
Ramakrishnan

Hi Ramakrishnan,

I see. I'd still recommend the level of program I mentioned previously. I know that Maryland's Smith would be good for the brand management, and Boston U. I'm not sure about the others -- they may well be, but you'd have to research them. Unfortunately I don't know which programs at this tier are more advantageous for the funding.
