Hello there good sir,
So first things first, you are a weeee bit young and inexperienced for an MBA. My first piece of advice would be to wait one year (and by "Wait" I do NOT mean PASSIVELY wait, but actively wait - in the sense of working on your profile to make it as fantastic as possible). Your grades are good and so is your GMAT (although frankly for an Indian candidate, if you think you have room for improvement, I'd suggest a retake... you have plenty of time).

In the meanwhile do what you can to strengthen your leadership experience, increase your community service, and add one or two unique and awesome things to your profile.

One note - your goal of going into consulting could work, but going into IB won't fly. Why? Everyone wants to do it. But who says an Auto guy with no IB experience can do it? (I mean maybe you CAN, but from the perspective of the Adcom they will have candidates with more realistic chances of doing this).

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply Jon. I will have 34 months by the time I apply. But I have started doing the ground work now.

I have an interest in finance and have been investing in stock markets for the past 10 yrs as a hobby. That's where the investment bank angle came in.

I will be applying for Fall 2015. Therefore I have started preparing from now as it takes time to prepare essays etc.

Please suggest what you think maybe lacking in my profile.

Aha!
Good then!
In the meanwhile, the things I would rank as most important:
1. Do as well as you can in your job. I know this sounds vague and is often outside your control, but within the limits of reasonability take on as much responsibility as you can, especially anything that would lead to leadership.
2. Are you doing any volunteer work? If not, better get on it! And do something exciting and unique (not just tutoring your neighbor's kid, although that is sweet as well), but something that is HARD, that you will get stories from, where you can IMPACT.
3. In terms of activities, you need something UNIQUE, don't what what that might be, but try and think of something that interests you. It's better of course if it leaves you leadership opportunities.

I think that should keep you busy for a year :)
