Hi Team VeritasPrep!

I would greatly appreciate if someone helps me out with a profile evaluation.

Indian Male 29 yrs old.
GMAT 720 (Q50, V38, IR6, AWA 6.0)

Work Exp details:-
Past 2.5 years :- A failed entrepreneur who revived a sick factory owned by the family but had to shut shop due to Working Capital Management concerns.

Previous 4.5 years :- Worked as a Shop Floor Supervisor in a leading Public Sector Undertaking(PSU) in the Transformer manufacturing industry.
No accelerated promotions(they dont happen is PSUs) but was given an independent charge of a very critical section that worked 24 X 7 X 365, one of the very few sections to do so.

Education:
Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli(NIT-Trichy) , which is consistently ranked amongst top 10-15 technical schools of India.
CGPA : 7.7/10

Certifications:
Passed All three levels of CFA exam in the first attempt
Passed Part 1 of the FRM exam

Short term Goals :- Work in Private Equity
Long Term Goals :- Want to set up my own fabrication workshop.

What do you think are my odds for an MBA admit from

1) Indiana - Kelly
2) Carnegie Mellon - Tepper
3) Texas - Mays
4) Penn State - Smeal
5) University of Illinois - College of Business
6) Georgia Tech-Scheller

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for sharing your profile. I think you have done a good job of selecting your school list. Your GPA and GMAT should have you in play at the below programs. Even though your business failed if you can present some strong learnings this should do a lot to diversify your profile because your earlier work experience may not be seen as very impressive.

Hope this helps!
