Hey there,
Well first of all, good luck on your retake!!!
I hope you get that score you are aiming for.

Now, with your current score, I'd say schools about 20-40 would be right for you. 10-20 would be your stretches, and lower than 40 would be about your safes. This CAN change of course with your improved GMAT, and can also change if you decide to push off till next year. You have VERY LITTLE work experience, and don't come from MBB, so applying with 28 months experience may not be the best choice for you, especially since you are going to be in a rush to do your GMAT and then write your applications.

Ultimately, you may have some very good reasons for applying now, but your application will likely be weaker if you do.

So you MAY want to reconsider.

Otherwise, in your extra curriculars I don't see any volunteer work, and I don't see any serious involvement (playing the Harmonica IS super fun, buuuuut it doesn't exactly qualify as an interesting EC for a B-school ;) )

Best,
Jon

Hey Jon,

Thanks for the quick response.
I have done 6 months of part time volunteer work with an NGO.
The schools that I've shortlisted for now are :
- Kelley
- Rotman (First Preference)
- Kenan Flagler
- Marshall
Do you think they would be a stretch/ achievable with my current stats?

Thanks! :)

Hey,
Allrighty! 6 months of volunteer work is awesome!

Your school list is about right. Maybe a wee bit challenging, but it's all right. I mean you DO come from Deloitte! Although you may want to add one or two lower ranked schools to make sure you get in this year. (Unless you prefer a "Top or Bust" strategy).

Whatever you decide, good luck to you!!!

And here's a link for you that you might find useful!

700! Mighty good!

Doesn't it feel great to surprise yourself?
:)

Now, with a 700, I feel like your school list is mighty fair. It's about the right level for your score, and profile, with all the schools you have selected having good programs and good names.

I can suggest more, but then I need to understand your criteria, your goals, your target, and what you like and dislike.

But you are off to a good start!

Best,
Jon
