probability

by Atult718 » Mon Jul 30, 2007 6:08 am
I think the way you would it is...

1st try probability = 1/5 + 0
2nd try = 1/5+ 0

1/5+1/5 = 2/5

Is this correct ? or there is another way to do this ?

P(chosing spoiled apple)
= 1 - P(not chosing spoiled apple)
= 1 - P(first apple is good)*P(second apple is good)
= 1 - 4/5 * 3/4
= 1 - 3/5
= 2/5
So It Goes
