I wanted to make one clarification about the rules, since Johny had forwarded me a question from another user:
The prizes must be redeemed by May 2008--meaning that you should reach out to MGMAT and Stacy Blackman Consulting by this date to at least have scheduled something for the future. Ideally, you would have taken an MGMAT course and consulted with Stacy before this date, but whatever works for you...
This scholarship is meant for people who intend to apply to business school by Fall 2009 at the latest.
Best of luck! _________________ Eric

It isn't an easy question! It was meant to be thought provoking...
I'm sure you'll come up with a great response. _________________ Eric

Hi, I recently stumbled across this forum while researching which GMAT prep books to buy. Of course, I joined up immediately. Should I have a certian number of posts to be able to apply for the scholarship? It would truly be a dream come true for me as I graduated in 1998 so my academic skills are a little rusty---but take the rust off and I will shine
Thanks in advance,

Hi Eric...I am almost done with my final drafts of the required essays...
But just wanted to ask u this ..Donno whether I am allowed to ask u this or whether you are allowed to respond to this explicitly on a public forum.. But I will go ahead & ask u nevertheless...
I think I have written a fair bit about the additional stuff that might have otherwise been covered in the optional essay in the required essays itself in order to strengthen them... & so am thinking of omitting the optional essay from my application
Does not writing the optional essay significantly weaken my chances at the scholarship..???
Regards

Skipping the optional essay doesn't weaken your candidacy. The optional essay is there to allow folks to share any additional info that you want us to consider. _________________ Eric
