Hello folks

I am convinced that I have to have professional help for my b-school applications, specially that I have some points that should be professionally described/justified such as my low GPA (2.94) and an age that is at the high end of the range for most of the b-Schools (34 years old).

It is going to be kind of big investment, that's why I have to make the right choice among several good admission consultants and packages! can you please help me with your advice and personal stories with different Admission Consulting Services, how do you rate this experience? did you get admitted finally after their help?

Waiting for your stories
Regards

A neutral individual would help you clear the ambiguity, redundancy and bias from your essays. In addition to these, a good experienced consultant would ensure the following critical elements in your application package.
  • Considerable maturity
Clear purpose, defined goals and focused action
    Succinct, Practical and Pragmatic
Down to earth attitude with complete absence of hyperbole
Honesty and yearning for learning and growing
Empathy for fellow mankind and mother earth (seriously)
Answer to your question: Please look through the several client testimonials on my blog to understand the journey and success stories.

Hi Shaymaa! I realize I am biased here so I can't really comment on this except to give you a link to some of our client testimonials and to say that we truly enjoy helping people just like you as you prepare for the MBA application process.
Here's a link to some testimonials: https://stratusprep.com/success-stories/testimonials/
And that I encourage you to speak to someone at Stratus on a free consult to learn more how we could help:

From doing this work I can say you want to look for someone who cares about your application, who has expertise on the admissions process, who will give you good feedback in a timely fashion and who is willing to do their best to help make sure you present yourself in the best possible light. I feel like I do that for my clients and so do my colleagues. Often it comes down to "fit" and who do you get a gut feel will be right for you or also ask friends who have had these experiences with their counselors and then follow up! Best wishes to find the right person to help!

Are you looking for a full time program? Which schools are you targeting? Personally I have pretty similar stats, 2.94 GPA, age 31 at the start of my MBA. For my application neither ended up being an issue at all and I completed my application without any input from professional an admission consultant

I was targeting a local part-time program with a GMAT well above the average for the program and my age is actually under the average for the part-time program. I had a strong narrative to explain my GPA (my first year grades were abysmal and I more than made up for them in subsequent years of University) and I had strong work experience and references. I also have a pretty clear story for why I want my MBA and why I was applying to the specific school I got in.

That being said if you need help building your narrative around any of the "weaker" points of your profile then I know that admissions consultants are a great resource.

First of all, a lot of applicants have weaker points that need addressing in different ways and that can be difficult to address in a suitable way on your own (one is obviously not very objective when it comes to our own experience and disadvantages with all they entail) so you are definitely not alone when it comes to have some disadvantages to address. And that is indeed exactly what a good consultant can help you with. An applicant who has an "perfect" profile (if such a thing even exists in the MBA world) and is great at writing essays will usually not benefit as much from the services of an admissions consultant as someone who has some weaknesses to explain or justify, so you are definitely on the right track when it comes to considering professional help.

ARINGO has worked with several "older" applicants (sorry for using that term, but as you seem to be aware of that is indeed how applicants are viewed after a certain age in the MBA world) as well as applicants with similar GPAs who have been admitted to their dream schools in the end, so we definitely have a lot of experience with applicants who resemble you that way.

You can see some of our general client testimonials here: https://aringo.com/testimonials/
And here: https://aringo.com/gmat-club-reviews/

If you contact us through our website we would also be happy to look through all our testimonials in order to find examples of applicants who are older/had low GPAs for you.
