Admission and fund chance.

by aminvahidi » Sun Sep 18, 2016 8:56 am
Hi dear consultants

I am management consultant of multi-hundreds million dollar Iranian energy companies. Also, I have an excellent educational background and good GMAT,GRE and TOEFL score. I attached my complete resume please find and read it. I have some questions.
I want to get an MBA from best-ranked Bussiness schools that could give me some fund so the program only cost me under 50k.
If I want a full fund program with my resume which schools do you suggest to me? and does there is so many difference in future incomes of top 10 top 50 and top 100 ranked schools?

Dear Amin,
From a first look you have a quite interesting and unique profile, with an awesome GMAT an Awesome TOEFL, and lots of good experience. I think with this you can build quite a strong application, but I will need more detail about your work experience (more ont he side of WHAT exactly you do... your experience, achievements, leadership etc.) as well as more info about your goals and volunteer experience.

The best thing for you to do would be to sign up for free consultation and fill out our questionnaire which allows us to ask all the questions we need!

Hi aminvahidi,

It's hard to predict if an applicant will get a scholarship, let alone the quantum of scholarship, as it depends on number of factors (career progression, organizations you worked, GMAT score, GPA, your undergrad/ grad institutions, diversity, and so on). B-schools evaluate how strong an applicant you are (under the constraints of diversity), and on the basis of that determine merit-based scholarships. One thing that goes in your favor, as far as scholarship is concerned, is that you're from a less-represented demography. But that's one of multiple factors.

You may find this article useful in getting an idea about scholarships at prominent schools.

Thanks for sharing.

In addition to the inputs above, it would be good to play up the unique perspective that you can bring coming from an underrepresented group. Complementing this with experiences showing your ability to collaborate and work with people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities would help. These would show your ability to contribute to the experiences of your peers, and also help the reach of the alumni community.

Wish you all the best!
