Hi,

I would like to get my profile evaluated.

I'm Darshil shastri.
Current age: 22.
Male, from India.

I'm in my final year of B-Tech, pursuing Electronics Engineering, from NIT Surat, which is among the top 20 engineering colleges in the country.
My GPA is 7.78 on 10, but it converts to 4, unless I'm mistaken.

In school, both 10th and 12th grade I scored 95%.

Target Colleges: HBS 2+2 program, Stanford Deferred Admission, London Business School(both MiM and MBA), Chicago Booth School.

First GMAT score: 660. Will be retaking it shortly.

� Worked as a Radio Jockey for Radio Mirchi, during 1st season of IPL(Indian Premier League)
� Chief Editor, Renesa(Campus Publication Head)
� Content Head for Gujarat Chhatra Sansad, (NGO)
� Resource person for Bal Bhavan Baroda, for Creative Writing Workshops and Magazine.
� Initiated Vadodara Quiz Club, to promote quizzing culture in the city.

So, I would like to know how good are my chances, and what areas of my profile can I improve upon.

the obvious area of improvement is your GMAT score. Applying straight out of college is very, very competitive. Add 100 points to the GMAT, and you will still struggle. Why not work for a few years, challenge yourself, create real impact, get involved in your community in something about which you are passionate, make a real difference. Then apply? cheers, alex

Thanks for your input Alex.

I definitely plan to work before applying. However, I wanted to know my chances for the deferred admission programs. The ones offered by HBS and Stanford.
